Central Texas Philharmonic, joined by Panoramic Voices, closes the 2021-2022 season with Ludwig van Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 9. “The Ninth” celebrates our shared humanity; triumphantly encapsulated in the final movement’s iconic Ode to Joy theme. The first half of the program is designed to contextualize the magnitude of Beethoven’s 9th with excerpts from earlier Beethoven works and the music of his contemporaries.
